Health care program evaluation is a systematic way that is used for improving and keeping an account of the health actions of the public by the involvement of different procedures which might seem useful, accurate, ethical and feasible. The assignment talks about an evaluation of a health care program on mental health awareness and the success and objectives of the program.
A community engagement campaign organized by the mental health department of Los Angeles was done for increasing the awareness of access to mental health as an issue of civil rights. "WeRise/WhyWeRise campaign" consisted of a media outrage which comprised of a website and other social media platforms. The campaign also consisted of events that allowed visitors to have an experience by visiting galleries, rallies, performances and so on (Friedman et al. 2017). The outcome of the health care evaluation of the policy was examined by an in-person survey of the visitors who attended the rally and by having a social media analysis of the responses and tweets that the campaign received online. A survey of the web was also conducted on a larger population of the county to see the rise and awareness of mental health issues.
"WeRise/WhyWeRise mental health campaign" had reached to a massive amount of population in Los Angeles. The program evaluated showed many positive outcomes in the way of increased support and a better understanding of people towards the issue of mental health. The program also made people aware of the challenges that mental illness have and the procedures for getting help for those issues (Harwood et al. 2017). The health care program also caused an awareness regarding empowerment towards activism around the issue of mental health.
The health care campaign attracted a large number of people. It was successful in engaging the minorities and caused a massive increase in the discussion of mental health problems.

The campaign was successful in attracting people who suffered from mental issues. The campaign was successful in making people aware of how to get help from people to solve their challenges of mental health.
The goal of the health care program was successful as the survey that as conducted observed that the people associated with the campaign both in-person and online got empowered and active towards fighting the issue.
The people who would be befitted from the results of the evaluation are the health care organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations (Heslin et al. 2017). Many social media pages can also be benefitted by conducting online campaigns for making people aware of the issues.
This program can be implemented in my workplace as it is important to make people aware of mental health issues and normalize the concept. People often have no knowledge of reporting such a matter or how to respond to a person suffering from depression or other mental issues. Awareness of the issue can make people know the symptoms and the places to report (rand.org, 2020).
As a nurse advocate, I could evaluate a program by getting involved in social planning and locality developments. I can work with the community residents to understand the impact of the implementation of a policy by advocating them regarding the program development, mediation and public speaking. I can also work with other technical experts for organizing and carrying out surveys, planning a communication strategy for evaluating the effects of the programs.
Health care programs are effective in understanding and spreading awareness regarding a problem that society is facing. Evaluating the program helps in understanding the impact of the program and the steps that must be taken for further improvements. The campaigns of mental health issues are important for society for making them aware of the concept.
